Posted by admin on Dec 15, 2009 in Photo Tips

There are lots of lenses in the market today but beginner usually don’t have budget to buy all the expensive lenses. Before starting your lenses collections there are several part that need to consider where your focus is. Landscape photographer mostly need wider focal length lenses while sport photographer need fast zoom lenses. The best is to be focus, but for start you can pick one normal lenses then moving toward other expensive lenses that suit your hobby or interest.

General purpose lense, is lenses with range 18-50. This lens have fairly good wide while able to do zoom. There also normal lense with wider range, but these lenses could weight our camera bags, plan a head.

Macro Lenses, is nice a must to have. An 50mm f/2.8 is great to capture small things. You will be stunned seeing the result, small things has never been this interesting captured with macro lenses.

Telephoto zoom, these kind of lenses is good for professional photographers. The fast lenses in this range could weight more than you could handle and sometimes it’s too advanced for beginner. Budget is also reason you would stay away for these lenses in the beginning, as you develop the skill your time will came when you need this range of lenses.
